Forster-Tuncurry, NSW

Forster & Tuncurry are both surrounded by the spectacular Great Lakes. These two beautiful towns are divided by a long bridge with Tuncurry siting to the north of Cape Hawke Harbour and Forster is on the south of the harbour. You will notice that the entrance to Wallis Lake starts here and stretches for 26 km down the coast.

Forster & Tuncurry are the perfect places to take a break and enjoy what the area has to offer with a variety of holiday accommodation and plenty of fish and chips places.

One thing I also noticed was the variety of beautiful bird species in the area, so keep an eye out for them on your bush walks. According to the local guide the Booti Booti National Park is the perfect place  for birdwatching and bushwalking and  there are a few endangered bird species on two of Wallis Lake's many islands.
